Day 103 - Golden Balls
This is a photo to forget. An excellent example of what happens when you don't have enough hours in the day to do anything properly. Such is life.
Day 100 - One For The Road
A kissing couple ornament/statue type thingy, bought from the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas during our honeymoon. Bought for us, not by us.
Day 99 - Don't Cross Me
Puddy cats rarely pose for a photo. They either run off, or come over to rub their bum in your face. Or lens. This one did both, in reverse order, but not before I got a few snaps off. One of which worked for me.
Day 98 - One For Meetic, I'm Told
Elizabeth, a good friend of Paola and myself, is single and looking. Men of wealth and status, por favor.
Day 94 - Ten Dollars
My shopping today at the local mercado. Two bell peppers, five large carrots , a large can of beans, five potatoes, a cauliflower, lettuce, cucumber, a quarter pound of raisins, 100g of salted nuts, a big tub of natural yoghurt, eight small but juicy tomatoes, four mangoes and a read onion. For more or less ten dollars. Perhaps a little less....what's the exchange rate today?

Day 91 - One For The Wall
An afternoon teachers get together in a bar near Metro Isabel la Catolica, with a bull looking down on us.
Day 90 - Terrible Twosome
Two of my students at Lilly, hard at work posing for photos. They'll do autographs too, but at $20 a pop...
Day 89 - Lilly Was Here
A familiar sign for me. I have more classes at the pharma giant than anywhere else. A prize for anyone who can name the artist of the song as per the post title!

Day 82 - Albondigas
Albondigas, which are Mexican meatballs, are my speciality. This boiling panful of spicy albondigas were made by yours truly, Chef Gary. And consumed with equal devotion shortly after.
Day 81 - Moon Rise
The moon rises, or sets, in the backround of Bancomer in Coyoacan. Bancomer is the largest bank in Mexico.
Day 79 - Art Hangs Over Us
The Mexico City Metro system is absolutely chock a block full of works of art. It's a museum, really! This piece hangs above the platforms at the Miguel Angel de Quevedo metro station.
Day 77 - Breathe Normally
Last week I posted a photo of Popo and Izta taken from the window of an office where I give a weekly class. It was the first time I'd ever seen the mountains, and presumed the fog to be to blame. But I took another look today, just to check I'm not just mad. And I'm not. The pollution is back and normal service is resumed.

Day 76 - Waiting For The Sun
My dear little turtles do not like winter. At all. They have to spend most of the time inside in a tank instead of outside in their mini ocean. And when they are outside, the sun, their most favourite thing in the world, doesn't enter the patio for much of November and all of December. In fact, today was their first taste of sun in months. Paradise. The joy on their little green faces.
Photo Of December
Last months vote has closed, with Rush Hour gaining 50% of the ballots. I've put a new widget in the sidebar to keep track of the monthly winners. This month I have 6 photos for you to choose from. Remember, you can rate each photo as I post it, and any photos with good rating will go into the vote. Otherwise I just have to select a shortlist myself. Need to take a closer look? The whole collection of my 365 photos are on Flickr.
Day 75 - Sin Agua
It might be a new year, but it's the same old story with Mexico City's water supply. It's been cut off. Again. For hours. Who knows when it might return. I am pissed!
