Day Three

Day Three

Back in April, when I went to buy a scooter, this was the bike I intended to get. I ended up getting an S-Wing instead. It was bigger but more expensive. And today it went in for a service. Which is how I've come into possession of the PCX 125 pictured above. Just something to get me home and back again later to collect the S-Wing. Did I get the right bike, now I've had a chance to test them both?

The PCX is smaller, lighter and thus more responsive. Brakes are sharp too. And I like the Idle Cut Off as well. But it's not as stable. Nor is it as comfortable as it's big brother. Much less storage space. But most important of all, less protection against the elements. I froze half to death on my way back home. It's also small for me. The rear view mirrors are next to useless as they are too low down, and too close to me. They need to be mounted on the bodywork in front of the handlebars. But it's a fun bike. If I were looking for a city-get-about rather than a rural cruiser, then I'd probably go for it.
